The Computer Works Northwest Torture Test

Before each machine leaves the shop, we give it what we call the Torture Test.

This is done to assure that if there's a problem with your new PC, we catch it and get it taken care of before it leaves the assembly line.
We push each new PC as hard as we can without voiding the hardware warranty, and keep the throttle wide-open for about six hours using a program that forces the computer to do strenuous mathematical calculations. By checking the computer's answers against the known-correct answers, any potential processing problem will be detected.
Additionally, running the computer as hard as it will go for a few hours allows us to fully test it to ensure that the computer won't overheat during the most demanding use or hot summer days.
